For the team of our "Skills training and employment promotion for women workers in Bangladesh, ADVANTAGE" project,Ìýwe seek applications for the position of "Vocational Training and Labour Market Advisor".

The position holder is responsible for:
- Managing an area of responsibility that forms part of the programme objectives, team agreements and/or agreements with the superior
- Assisting project/programme initiatives to provide professional advisory services to and cooperate with a broad range of target groups
- Advise supervisor on all task when implementing GIZ rules and regulation
- Advise supervisor in the field of project's planning, steering and monitoring
- Independently implement goals and requirements set by the line manager
- Make decisions which have a short-term effect within a limited project area/ unit
- Assist supervisor to identify day to day problem and suggest appropriate solution
In this context, the position holder fulfils the following tasks:

The position holder
- Manage the design and development of a gender transformative module on skills and vocational orientation jointly with NSDA, international and national project colleagues as well as organisations, associations, private sector, international partners for the "Skills training and employment promotion for women workers in Bangladesh" – ADVANTAGE
- Managing the content design and implementation of information and sensitization campaigns regarding skills development for women
- Advising on gender transformative vocational orientation and managing the development of a gender transformative vocational education module in close coordination with a gender specialist
- Supporting communication and outreach tasks in cooperation with the outreach and communication advisor
- Advises, in cooperation with the gender specialist, NSDA on carrying out gender transformative campaigns and activities with different target groups
- Support NSDA, together with output 1 and 2 lead, the gender specialist and outreach advisor in developing, designing and implementing awareness raising campagns towards sensitizing about gender transformation, and potentials of women to contribute to the development of the society
- Advises on innovative instruments for learning, such as pedagogical games, theatre plays, learning nuggets, use of virtual reality, video etc. (digital tools)
- Moderates dialogues among partners, GIZ and other stakeholders, with a special focus on the private sector and industry related organisations, regarding ways on transforming gender perspectives towards access to rights, resources and representation of women in skills development and in the labor market
- formulates job descriptions and terms of references, selects and supervises short-term experts for the development of training programmes in a gender responsive-gender transformative way, in cooperation with the gender specialist
- contributes to develop and implement the strategy for implementing capacity works as the management model for the project
- Reports to the project manager/ supervisor and cooperate closely to ensure the consistency of the project advisory approach
- designs and organizes events like workshops, seminars and network exchanges regarding skills development
- Further specific tasks may be discussed and agreed with the supervisor
C. Required qualifications, competences and experience
Educational Qualifications
- Master's degree in Economics, Political Sciences or Social Sciences, Development Studies or any other relevant subject
Professional experience:
- At least 8 years of related professional experience
- Proven knowledge and expertise in at least two of the following technical areas: (i) technical vocational education and training, skills training (ii) awareness raising, lobbying, campaigning, (iii) gender equality, (iv) socio-economic integration (of women)
- Familiarity with relevant national strategies and policies on vocational/ skills training, economic development, educational policy, women empowerment
- Good understanding of the actors and stakeholders in technical education and skills development as well as in womens rights and human rights
- Good understanding of using digital tools and other innovative pedagogical tools
- Experience in cooperating with senior government officials and general partner liaison
Other knowledge, additional competences:
- Ability to work well under pressure and organize own area of responsibility
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent presentations skills
- Fluency in English and good writing skills in both English and Bangla
- Familiarity with development cooperation, bilateral or multilateral organizations
- Ability to work in an intercultural environment and be a strong team player in a diverse and interdisciplinary team
- Lead by example in gender equality and inclusion of marginalized groups
